It has been designed to supplement our daily nutritional intake with antioxidant properties that help the function of our vision.
RETIPROTEK contains carotenoids from the xanthophyll family, lutein and zeaxanthin, derived from the flower of the Tagetes erecta plant, vitamins A, B6 and B9 and the trace elements selenium, zinc and copper.
Xanthophyll carotenoids are part of the macular pigments, protecting retinal cells from oxidative damage. Vitamin A participates in several ocular functions including the visual cycle. Vitamins B6 and B9 (folic acid) act as antioxidants, protecting against oxidative stress. The trace elements zinc, selenium and copper participate in the cellular processes of antioxidant defence against oxidative damage. In addition, they can also help regulate the ocular inflammatory response.
The contribution of these nutrients through the diet, or supplements when necessary, helps maintain vision, and especially the retina, a tissue that is highly susceptible to oxidative damage.
These nutrients have been selected and combined based on research studies where they have shown protective effects against hereditary retinal dystrophies, among
those found in Retinitis Pigmentosa.
Ingredients: bulking agent (microcrystalline cellulose), zeaxanthin, lutein, selenium-enriched yeast, zinc sulphate, pteroylmonoglutamic acid (folic acid), pyridoxine hydrochloride (vitamin B6), bulking agent (silicon dioxide), cupric sulphate, retinyl acetate (vitamin A).

It is recommended to take two capsules a day, one in the morning and one at night, with a glass of water. The package contains 60 capsules that covers one month of treatment.

It should not be consumed by children or pregnant women.
Do not take RETIPROTEK in case of Stargardt disease or clinical signs compatible with this disease. Stargardt disease is caused by mutations in the ABCA4 gene. Recent research has shown that excessive intake of vitamin A can accelerate vision loss in these patients. If you have cone dystrophy and have not had a genetic test, do not take Retiprotek, as there is a possibility that it is the ABCA4 gene.
Do not take in case of allergy to plants of the Asteraceae (Tagetes) family.
Keep out of the reach of small children.
Store the product in a cool, dry place, protected from light.
